Nicole Najafi is a writer in New York. In 2014, she founded the clothing startup Industry Standard, which was featured in T Magazine, Vogue, and Forbes. It was acquired in 2019 by investors. After exiting, she shifted her focus to her real passion and began writing full-time. Her first screenplay was optioned by Warner Bros. in 2022. Her writing has been published by The New Yorker and McSweeney’s. She is currently on a social media hiatus (and loving it — ask her anything).
